Sunday Social!

Oh hai!

Sunday Social

1. What is your dream job?
Well- if I was financially stable, and had the ability to go for it-my dream job would just be being a mommy & wife (someday!) and being a cosmetologist on the side. Also doing something with infants. I love babies! But on a realistic note, I am excited to go after my dreams of being a Registered nurse specializing in neonatal care.

2. If you had just won the lottery and didn't need to work for money, what would you do with your time?
Go on vacations, (not crazy expensive ones though! I would definitely manage my money well), blog more & become a better blogger, just go to pretty places and take photographs, spend time with family, sleep in, ahh... the list could go on and on!

3. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Haha... a chef, and a model. I would still be interested in both actually-they weren't crazy, unobtainable jobs, but it might be hard to get into modeling, and make it as a big, well-known chef.

4. What piece of career advice would you give to someone just starting out in your field?
I can't say,  really. I am still in college trying to get into my field! However, if you are in college to become a nurse, I would say to STAY FOCUSED. I skipped out on a ton of fun weekends-who knows, maybe some day I will miss the fact that I chose to stay in and study, or just relax in my free time (when I didn't need to study!) instead of being a wild, crazy student. But, for now, I think that is what works for me, and I hope it pays off! Everyone who is already a nurse, or people that are year and years older than me offer about the same advice-"study now, learn now... those out partying and not buckling down much may pay for it in the future; but you'll have the money and stability to have your fun." I mean that is a round about way of explaining what people have told me! : )

5. What are your biggest pet peeves in life, blogging, or at work?
People having children and not giving them attention, people having children and not taking care of them, people having children and putting someone else first, instead of their kids. People smacking their lips while eating, chewing with mouths open, girls that act "ditzy" to get attention. ( I have so many more life one's but I will stop now haha). Blogging-people who act better than other bloggers, and people that tell you you basically need to follow them because they followed you! Work: people not tipping ( I work as a waitress) when they are nice to you the whole time, you are nice to them, and then they just don't tip!

6. What are your biggest fears?
1) People I love dying.
2) Myself dying.
3) Getting in a wreck; I just got my license actually 2 days ago... about four years later than I could have because I was scared to drive! -more on that later if you are interested? Let me know.
4) My teeth falling out, crumbling and turning to dust (I always have that nightmare!), or losing a teeth/damaging one. This is because I had braces and tons of other stuff, so I have a pretty expensive mouth hahaha. & the fact that I wouldn't like how I looked with missing teeth, ya know?
5) Spiders
6) The world ending.
7) Not finding a job once I graduate college.
8) Any of my siblings ever having hard times-financially, socially, everything! I just don't want any suffering in any way for anyone I love!

It's Okay Thursday

Today, I will link up and do my first "It's Okay Thursday"! Yay! On top of that excitement, it is also the one year anniversary for this link-up! So it's okay...

Its Ok Thursdays

...that I am at my grandma's, with the air conditioner on, and I am still sweating.

...that my arms feel like they are going to fall off from my bicep workout last night.

...that those said arms will be lifting trays all night at work when I waitress!

...that I didn't wash my hair today-skipping washes is good for your hair & scalp!

...that my hair is in a ponytail, on top of my head, and I look like a pineapple.

...that I had to suffer through a week of my boy being in Cancun, while I got to stay in good 'ol Ohio (alright- it's not okay! So jealous!)

...that I didn't post this earlier in the day.

...that I work 6 out of 7 days this upcoming week- moniessssssss YAY!

...that I have too much makeup, body, and hair products; I am trying to use up as much as I can before I buy anything else!

...that my apartment that I am moving into on August 18th isn't finished being built. It WILL be done on time though (I hope).

...that I may be terrible at blogging.

...that I took a bunch of photos on photo booth earlier today, and most were goofy. & I just took 2 more now. For you. Ready, set, LAUGH!

Such attractive faces righhttt.

Well that is all for my first "It's Okay Thursday"! Hope it wasn't too bad! I may or may not do a photo booth post later tonight with all my goofy pics, or maybe a few. How does that sound? Annoying? Or good idea? Haha, lemme know! Time to go to work : I

How To: Makeup Tips & Tricks For [Eyes]

Hai, Hey, Hola.
So I decided I wanted to start a How To series. I have tons up my sleeve for this one, the possibilities are endless. You may think: "You have a beauty blog-isn't the whole point to tell us 'How To' anyways?" Well, uh yeah. That was the idea when I started out. Butttttt, it is funny how since it is your blog and you can do what you want, your interests shift. Whoops. So lately I have been doing a lot of fashion posts, random post, and less beauty. Yep, I'm terrible. But moving on, I hope you all like these little series, and like I said, it can be endless! So if you want to put in a request for a specific topic, lemme know! I plan on doing about 5 pieces of info per post, but will also be repeating topics if I find more stuff that appeal to me! Here we gooooo.

#1 Want to open up those tired eyes? Or make your eyes look bigger?-Use a white or skin tone color (if you feel white is too bold to wear) eyeliner on your waterline. You should always use a patient, steady hand when doing anything around your eye area. I would like to see no one with a gauged out eye! With the skin tone color, you will see a difference still! It will take away the pink tone your waterline has and still brighten your eyes and make them appear larger. Another way to brighten up those eyes are to put a little bit of white, or lighter color eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eyes.
This shows a white rimmed waterline. It isn't too overly obnoxious as some white eyeliners can be.

This is too bold for me. I would say the flesh colored eyeliner would have better suited this person.

The inner corner is just bright enough with the light color. It definitely brings light to the face! You can see she also is wearing a very light colored eyeliner here.

#2 Make your eyelashes appear fuller-by tight lining! This involves the area right here:
Again, this takes a steady hand. This makes your eyelashes appear fuller because the base of your lashes are growing in right there! It is super simple to do this, and if you feel your liner wont stay on, use a gel eyeliner or a waterproof one!
This makes such a difference! This image was taken from here.

#3 Eyeliner smudging? Double up ladies. Apply your normal pencil or liquid OR cream eyeliner, then apply an eyeshadow in a similar shade over it to set it! Want it to last EVEN longer? Dip the brush you are using to apply the eyeshadow (for the setting purposes) in visine! Then, apply it over the eyeliner. Stays for ev.

#4 Be gently to that pretty face-more specifically, to the eye area! When applying any concealer, eye cream, eye product (etc.) it is said to be best to use your ring finger to PAT and not tug the under eye. This is because your ring finger supposedly gives the least amount of pressure out of all your other fingers!

#5 Make your eyeshadow stay on longer! For this, I have a few tips. If you use a moisturizer or eye cream, let it all completely soak in. Excess oil or moisture from it could cause a faster meltdown of your shadow! Not sure everything is soaked in? Use a tissue and gently pat your eye area to absorb anything excess. Next, use a concealer or an eyeshadow primer to give your eyeshadow a good base to stick to. For the actual eyeshadow, I feel it is best to pat on and pack on the color! I usually swipe the color across my lids a few times, and then basically set the eyeshadow with itself! I'll just lightly pat some more color on to my eyelids. Lastly, if you feel it is necessary and you have a makeup setting spray on hand, you can sprits your face (and eyes) with the spray. Do this from a distance, at least half an arm length, so you don't concentrate too much liquid on all your hard work! Definitely do the setting spray before applying any mascara, so your mascara does run!

That's it lovelies! I hope you like the series I am starting up, and that some of this is new information to you! Let me know what you think!

Flowers & Purple

Outfit post time! Here is what I wore a little while back (such a slow post maker I am!) It was very casual, and as you can tell, I stuck with the boring 'ol flip flops that I ALWAYS wear! I am just not one to wear wedges or dressy, girly shoes on a regular basis. Here are the pictures my cousin Kyleigh took! Thanks Kyleigh : )

What I wore:

Showing off the cute design on the otherwise boring shoes : ) Nail polish color is "Dreamer" by Revlon, also holding Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm in "Charm".

Where it's from:
Purple tank top: American Eagle. Shorts Brand: Almost Famous. Flip Flops: Old Navy. Belt: No idea! Sorry!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, and sorry for the lack of posts lately! I will have some hopefully entertaining posts coming up shortly!

I WANT To! But I Just Can't!

....write a good blog post. I have about 4 posts in the works right now, buttttttt now I am just having trouble finishing them [biting off more than I can chew, clearly.] I have coffee to my left, other blogs to catch up on in a bazillion tabs on my browser, and "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer to read. I mean could you stop being distracted and come up with a good blog post? Alright, you got me... you could. But I am strugglin' over here because I have 57896979 other things to do on top of what is listed above, so I just can't stay focused!
I am hoping to have something awesome for you to read or look at (hmmm what could that be? :0 ) by nights end. Now that you have wasted 1.5-5 minutes of your life (depending on how fast of a reader you are or how many sentences you skipped because they were b-o-r-i-n-ggggg) let me know what your plans are this weekend, because I always have time to chat & I love talking! Also, send me some emails! I feel like at this day & age, emails seem soooo "old-fashioned" but I adore emails! My email is:

p.s-What do you think about me adding a link to my personal Facebook? Would you recommend it, or would anyone be interested in me including  that on my blog for even faster communication?

The LATE 4th of July Post

Juuuuuust say it and get it over with... I'm a slacker, terrible blog keeper, and I always take forever to do a new post. Okay. Feel better? Good! In my defense, I have been working six days a week, so if I just may excuse myself a bit...    My fourth was pretty good! I worked during the day, then at night my boyfriend and I went to go see fireworks. It looked like it was going to storm, but we were told a few times the storm would miss us. Well. It sure didn't. We got to his car from the little festival, and we were at just in time, then it started to downpour, and lightening like CRAZY! They still decided to let the fireworks off, but I'm not kidding when I say more people were watching behind them (at the storm) then in front of them where the fireworks were going off. I was seriously wondering if I would be dealing with a tornado, cars all packed up and lined together and all. Luckily it didn't, but we did watch the fireworks inside his car!

In the bottom right picture you can tell we were in the car : )

My messy nails, and the pretty sky before it got dark & stormy!

My two favorite people... my boy, and my niece! Luckily, I got a picture of them together at fireworks (my niece seriously loves him, she jumped right into his arms when she saw him! ) <3

What I wore: White shorts from JcPenney, sandals that I wear the heck out of from Walmart, and sparkly top from Love Culture. Necklace from Forever 21. Since I did my nails red, white & blue, i wanted to keep my outfit more neutral.

That is about it for my fourth! I have read so many other posts from others about what they did, so hopefully, it's not too terrible that I am posting so late!

p.s-I always get this overwhelming feeling of happiness for our country on the fourth, the fireworks make me want to cry. Is that normal? Anyone else like this?

Sunday Social

It's Sunday! Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend : )
Sunday means link-up.. Sunday Social to be exact. So if you'd like, link-up next Sunday as well!

Favorite TV show of the past:
Uhm.. so many! Hey Arnold, CatDog, Degrassi, I Love Lucy.. the list will go on so I will just stop there!

Favorite TV show currently
Teen Mom (I can't help itttttt), Pretty Little Liars, Greys Anatomy, Extreme Makeover Weight loss Edition, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother and Storage Wars. Besides that, I am really into watching Youtube videos. Youtube is like my tv.

Which Reality Show would you NEVER do?
Bad Girls Club.. I just feel like it is so... trashy? I don't know. Not my style.

Which Reality Show would you LOVE to do?
I'm just so boring. I can't think of one! I would do maybe the Real World, if it ever came to Ohio (yeah right!)

TV personality/character that you feel is most like you?

Okay, got one. Not a tv character, but a movie character (close enough). Alyson Hannigan, from  American Pie (& How I Met Your Mother). I have heard multiple times that I have her mannerisms, smile, quirks, and even look like her. I am not so sure I agree, but after hearing it for the past few years, I just say whatever.

TV character you'd want to date?
Uhm for Sure Ezra from Pretty Little Liars. Hottttty. He is just a sweetheart, I think that is why he is attractive to me! Or McDreamy from Greys Anatomy.. DUH. Sexy, smart, and biggest gentleman ever!
 Alright. Both of them please!

Can't wait to see what questions are used for next Sunday : )

Sunday Social- Fashion!

What is your favorite store to shop at?
I don't really have a favorite.. I like so many stores equally! For fair prices I would say Forever 21. But overall, probably Express.
If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?
To be honest, I am not really drawn to the big designer brands. Really high end, I would say Marc Jacobs (jewelry wise!) but for clothing, probably just the higher end brands Buckle carries, or Express. Not super duper designer, but I have never really gotten into that! I actually just looked online at Buckle, made a make believe outfit from the higher end brands, and it only came to $303. Not that bad!

Must have closet staple?
Plain white v-necks, camis, and a good pair of shorts or jeans that fit well and go with everything!

Favorite kind of shoes? (brand or type)
FLIP FLOPS! Or just sandals. I hate tennis shoes. I don't like my feet being covered, unless it is with my super adorable leather boots. So I would definitely say sandals in general. Or wedges if they aren't too high!

Best clothing deal you've ever gotten? (sale or amazing find)
I once got like 13 t-shirts from Hollister for less than $100, (the cool ones!) when I was in middle school. I think that is pretty good! I can't think of any good deals recently, because these past two years I have shopped so much it is all just a big expensive blur : )

Style you'd love to try?
Currently there isn't a specific style I want to try.. weird right? Maybe in the back of my mind there is, but right now I can't think of one! However, I would like to buy a cute romper! Like dissss:
I love it! It would be so cute with a light brown belt to cinch in the waist!

I hope you learned a little something extra about me fashion wise! Link up with the hosts and do next weeks Sunday Social : )
