Two Ways I Wear My Floral Jeans

Hey hey! I am so excited to post this one! I love my floral jeans, and the different ways they can be worn-so I decided to do two outfits today; more of a daytime look, and a dressier top for night time (or whenever, who cares, right?!) If you have been wanting a pair of floral (or patterned jeans/pants), I think you should go for it! They are so fun, and they can be worn in many ways.

The casual/daytime look:

Jeans: Forever 21 // Top: Old, similar // Bracelet: Forever 21, similar // Mint tank top: Forever 21, similar  // Flats: Old, similar

The dressier, nighttime look:

Black tank top: The Buckle <--My FAVORITE tanks! // Top: Charlotte Russe (not longer sold), cute option instead!

Those are two of my outfits featuring floral pants; hopefully you can take some inspiration from this :) If anyone is interested in a spring makeup look, I will be posting one within the next few days, wearing the makeup from these pictures! Thanks for reading!

Spring Showers Bring May Fl- Mayhem.

My plans to start wearing spring-y, cute, colorful clothes following my spring break were thwarted by a winter storm I shall nickname "pain-in-my-everything". Catchy title? Maybe not. But that is how I currently feel! Really, who wants any snow, let alone more than a few inches of snow when you are expecting sunshine and semi-warm air?!

Heading right for us-NO THANKS!

So anyways, I know a lot of people out there are still expecting snow at this time of the year, which is fine...but here in Ohio?! It's not that I am shocked that it's snowing, it's just that Ohio should be on bi-polar medicine because of it's weather extremes. A few weeks ago many people were wearing shorts, capris, and light jackets. It's so confusing! There hasn't been really any snow yet today, but they are calling for it all overnight, so I guess we will see...

Moving on...I am back to my college apartment after visiting my family for Spring break. I didn't want to leave, but on the bright side, there is only about 4 weeks left before my summer vacation (not like I am counting down or anything). I worked a little during break, at the job I have had in my hometown for over 4 years, so it was nice to be a little productive during break. It's also great that my boss accommodates for his college students; he always tries to get us some hours to work whenever we are on break or are available. Besides working, I spent nearly all my time with family. If I haven't made it clear yet, I am SUCH a family girl. My idea of a good time when I go home to visit family is sitting around, talking, or just watching tv, and sipping on coffee or tea. It's the simple things.

Lately, I have been throwing around the idea of changing my blog name. I mentioned it on twitter (follow me if you don't already!), but never said anything else about it.  I love the name I currently have, and the meaning behind it, but since I haven't focused solely on "beauty related things" like I originally planned, I think it's time for a change. I have a few ideas, but I want to be sure of it before I go updating my blogger button, blog design, etc. What do you think? Time for a change or keep the current name? Opinions are welcome! I think for the rest of my night I am going to make a few pharmacology note cards to study for my final exam, and watch a little NCIS! Sounds like my weekend/break wasn't eventful, but hey, I really like the idea of doing weekend updates : ) Hope your weekend was great!

Also linking up with Molly and Carly!
AND for Monday Morning Gossip!

Purple Smurple!

Is anyone else experiencing this cold weather along with me, and not exactly happy about it!? I know there is more upsetting things in the world, but dang! I am on my spring break and freezing the whole time was not what I expected! I managed to sneak pictures of an outfit I wore a few days ago... and by sneak I don't mean sneak at all. I don't know why I typed that, but it doesn't feel right to hit backspace [what?!]. What I really mean is that I was freezing, and I sucked it up because I adore this outfit! Since I am mainly inside all day, I didn't want to include a jacket for this post-because it honestly would of been a winter-ish coat, and really is only worn to go to and from places. Make sense? Probably not haha. I decided I wanted to work during my spring break, so luckily my boss of the past 4 years had a few days for me to make some extra money! Speaking of spring break, I am so jealous for those of you out there going on trips! I am living vicariously through your posts :) Not too much has been going on since I have been home for break, so I don't have too much to say...except IT NEEDS TO WARM UP! Mother nature, I am talking to you. Get your act together lady.

The details: Shirt: similar // Jeans: Bullhead // Shoes: similar //  Headband: similar // Just now realizing the bracelet I wore with this must have fell off: priceless. Basically this whole outfit features items that I have had for years-which is why I can't find links! Sorry for that, but I am glad to at least get use out of older items!

I leave you with this gem. That weird wing looking thing behind me? The ruffles from the back of my top, flapping in the crazy wind, and my pure amusement. haha, go ahead and laugh :)

Leave me your links to your posts!

Leopard Love [Outfit]

So I love my leopard cardi. You've seen it before here. That look was a lot more casual; this look, eh, I am not even sure about! I wanted to wear it another way, so I was thinking of wearing it layered under something else-instead of it being the outermost layer! So what do you think? Would you wear a cardigan like this?

Cardigan: Wetseal, old; (similar) // Jeans: American Eagle // Jacket: Forever21, (old); (similar) //
Boots: similar

Spring 2013 Wishlist

Who wishes that besides fixing all the problems in the world, among others things, that you could get everything on your wishlist? Me! As I am a girl, and shiny, pretty, fashionable things are always catching my eye, I figured why not put together a wishlist! I am one of those people that randomly have a "shopping cart" full on an online store site-I mean I don't buy the stuff, but I just like the idea of planning outfits, putting together accessories, and imagining owning all of those awesome things if I was a billionaire! Let's do thisssss!
----------------Fashion

One: Love this top! It would be so easy to wear with a pair of white capris, jeans, or shorts...simple but cute!

Two: These earrings are something I would love to have! As a nursing student, when I go to my clinical location I cannot have certain types of earrings-and these are a pair I would be allowed to wear! I tend to wear the same pair of earrings for multiple days; I find a pair I love and don't bother to take them out! Most of my earrings are cheapo ones from Forever 21, and they usually irritate my ears-a pair like those would rock my world!

Three: Booties. You see them everywhere, but thats not why I want them! I am not one to rock heels...I just feel like I can't pull them off! But these, these look like something I could work with!

Four: Oh how I love the high-low trend. It's gorgeous...and this dress in particular has stolen my heart! I want plain, solid color ones too...but something like this I just wouldn't be able to pass up!

Five: Lace or crochet anything. I love this dress so much! It's not too much skin, it's perfect. I would pair it with a skinny brown belt or a long necklace, or just a good pair of dangling earrings. I could wear it out with friends, a date, or a get together. The options are endless and it seriously belongs in my closet!

Six: Printed jeans and leggings are catching on. I caved and bought a pair of floral jeans, which I am SO excited to do a post in the near future showing how I wear them. Now, I am on the hunt for a pair of polka dot jeans or leggings...preferably lighter colored, maybe pastel, but I adore a cute pair of denim ones! I have so many ideas of how I would wear them!

-------------- Makeup

One: Highlighter. Need in my life! Perfect for bringing light to your face, and making you look more awake! Spring is a perfect time to keep makeup more minimal and natural, and a highlighter like this would do just the trick in helping to achieve that!

Two: This wet or dry foundation powder. You have no idea how much I love this stuff! For as long as I have been obsessed with beauty, and the crazy amount of makeup items I have bought, nothing has compared to this! When I ran out I was literally sad-it's that good. Dear makeup angels, if you want to send a Sephora gift card my way, I will be grateful! I raved about it in this post awhile back!

Three: For lips, you can't go wrong with a sheer pink color for spring (and summer!) I adore this lip gloss in "bright pink"from Bobbi Brown. It's expensive for a lip gloss, but I love it! I am sure there is a cheaper option out there though.

Four: Keeping with a more natural make up look, a nice pink-coral blush is definitely on my wishlist! I have wanted this blush for over a year. One day I just might have to get it!

Five: This primer has pretty awesome reviews so far, and I am always on the lookout for a great primer for my oily skin...and with the weather starting to heat up in the Spring, you know this girl needs some extra help!

----------
This is about the extent of my wishlist. I mean really, I could go on forever! But, if I was granted a fairy godmother for fixing the worlds problems, and an unlimited amount of cash, you can be sure these would be the main products I cross off my list! So what do you think? Are any of these items on your wish list?

In honor of this blogs 1st birthday coming up, hitting 200 followers (what?!) and because I found something you guys NEED to have, it's time to do a giveaway! Sunday Social!

This is the 40th week for Sunday Social! I would say that it has been quite a successful link-up; and definitely one of my favorite to link up and do! If you have not, link up as well :)

1. What is one movie you are terrified to watch?
Right now, I really can't think of one in particular...but any time there is a commercial for a new scary movie out, about exorcisms or demons, I look away. That stuff is creepy! Buuuuuut if someone watched it with me, I would probably be fine with watching it!

2. What is one TV show you have always wanted to get into but haven't yet?
The Walking Dead..I actually started to watch it, and just never kept up with it! Also, Downton Abbey; it seems like anyone and everyone in the blog world loves it, so maybe I should hop on the bad wagon!

3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?
Skydive! That would be really awesome...or bungee jumping. To me, bungee jumping seems more daring-at least when you jump from a plain, you are less likely to hit the building you are jumping off of like in bungee jumping! Terrible logic? Probably,

4. Would you ever travel alone?
If I really had to, yes. When I was 14 or 15 I flew to Florida and then back home alone. It wasn't too bad, but I would rather travel with someone else!

5. What activities do you like to do alone?
I like to do anything on my computer alone-computers are too distracting to be around others when you're on them, so I like to blog, read blogs, watch youtube videos, and study alone. Sometimes, I like to shop alone, but it depends on if I need opinions haha. Driving, if you want to call that an activity, I sometimes like to do alone, usually if it's long distances, I would rather be alone!

Be sure to link up!

Origami Owl Necklace and Coral Goodness

Coral goodness? Yep. Only thing I could come up with! While this isn't the most glamorous outfit, and I will never be a "cool" super fashionable blogger, this is what I wear on a day-to-day basis. Something comfortable, halfway cute, and possibly matching (on my good days! haha) This is my style, and I hope that I can be "cool" enough for a few people out there! I just wanted to say that, because I really enjoy putting up outfit posts, and plan on doing more, but I know they aren't up to par with all those other ladies out there! (Hey, I am just a nursing student-no fancy things to dress up for!) Anyways, this is what I wore this past Friday, visiting my family! We can thank my awesome brother for his picture taking skills and my indoor photos-again, this is the amateur in me hah! I did a weekend recap here, so I won't elaborate on what I wore this for!

Shoes: OLD! Not sure what brand- (similar & affordable).
Sweater: Forever 21-no longer listed (similar).

Earrings: Forever 21, no longer available (similar) but I want these!

Necklace designed and purchased by me, through Origami Owl Custom Jewelry (Facebook Page here)... More on this soon-I will be doing a giveaway! Stay tuned! Silver bracelet is from Forever 21 (similar). * If you would like to make an order with the links I have provided, the full name of the independent designer is Cassandra King. She is a trusted friend that I have known for 4 years, and will provide awesome customer service!

That's it for the outfit... I am going to finish my night with some youtube videos and blog browsing, while we get a snow storm (I think). It's too bad if the University closes tomorrow, considering I don't have classes tomorrow anyways. Wah-wah. Leave me your links below for new posts to read, especially if you are new to my blog!

A Great Weekend-food, wedding dresses, and squid?

Hey everyone! I had such a good weekend visiting my hometown and family and figured I could share my excitement with you! First off, I went to the hair salon and got my hair fixed (fo' free) because a few weeks ago I had some caramel highlights added, but at my roots they turned a crazy bright blonde! So we toned that beast down. I really love it..it's subtle but noticeable enough for me!

Sorry for the terrible pictures haha

The super exciting part of my weekend was that I went dress shopping for my sisters wedding (I am the maid of honor)! She found a dress! I am so happy for her, and the dress is beautiful! She had one of those "when you know, you know" moments, and you could just tell how happy she was to have found it! The bridesmaids and myself also found our dresses, which are plum colored, one shoulder dresses (adorable!)

what they put on every brides dressing room door :)

After finding dresses, we went to eat at Buca di Beppo and I ate more than enough for a small family..yet I couldn't stop because it was delicious! I want to go back so bad right now! (show picture of food). I also tried calamari, which is crazy considering I don't eat any seafood at all, and I won't eat mushrooms. I guess squid is less disgusting to me than mushrooms? (What is wrong with me?! haha) To be honest it was actually good. I didn't eat the baby ones, which are whole and look like fried tarantulas (eeeewwww), but I did try the the ring shaped pieces. TMI for some people? Maybe. But coming from me, who hates seafood, I would do it again. Did I mention that the serving sizes are huge? The pasta I got was a small, which is meant to be shared between two people...Pretty sure it could of fed 4!

 Take me back for thisssss.

Huge brownie/ice cream/obesity in a glass dessert. We shared this, clearly!
We also went to the mall so that my sister could get a free engraved key chain with her future last name on it, from Things Remembered. She was so excited! It makes me want to have that special someone who thinks I am worth being with forever...[sappy sad thoughts for a few seconds] but whatever! I am so happy she chose me to be her MOH...and trusting that I could do it even though I am away at college! After all the fun stuff Friday and Saturday, on Sunday I drove to my dads to visit him, my little brother, and stepmomma. Then I had to drive back to college-wahhhh. End of my weekend :)

Thanks for reading!
