What I Wore (WIW) Lace Kimono OOTD

Have you ever bought a piece of clothing that turns into a staple immediately? I recently found a lace kimono at Target that has found it's way into 3 outfits already-I haven't even had the kimono for a full 3 weeks yet! It is safe to say I have a new favorite!

Outfit details: Shorts- American Eagle (similar style currently in stock)// Brown Tank- Old, Wet Seal // Kimono- Target (can't find the link currently) (similar ON SALE option) // Sandals- Forever 21  (no longer available) (similar option here) // Sunglasses- New York and Company
Up close look at my new hair color-loving it still!
Earrings from Buckle.

Sorry for such a lengthy, photo-packed post! Definitely wanted to share this kimono with whoever is interested; it is still available in store (black lace and white lace) but I just can not find it online!

Striped Halter Dress Outfit // Affordable Fashion Post

Hey beauties! I hope everyone is having a great week so far...it's almost the weekend so yay! Currently, I am [trying] to bury my head in the books and study for my state board exam for nursing (NCLEX) which is coming up in the next week. If you know anyone who has taken the exam (or you have taken it yourself) you probably know just have nerve wracking and hard it is to even prepare for it. It is sooo overwhelming! I needed a little break from it all, so here I am with an outfit post! Recently, I discovered the wonderful world of the outlet malls-probably a 25 minute drive from my apartment, but totally worth it. Pretty much anything I could want fashion-wise can be found at the outlets, including the dress in this post! The dress was only about $14...what?! Suchhh good prices and so many stores to choose from! I am definitely glad I started going outlet shopping instead of just "normal" shopping. You can save so much money! Enough with my epiphany though, on to the post!
Dress: Charlotte Russe Outlet (similar here and here)
Bracelet: Alter'd State
Sandals: Forever 21 (cute semi-similar option here) // Sunglasses: New York & Company

I have recently become super obsessed with type of neckline-I am always in search of dresses and tanks with this style! I feel like it is so flattering on me and also is a bit more conservative, yet fun. What do you think?

Have you ventured into the wonderful world of outlet shopping? Do you have any other affordable shopping recommendations?

Thank you for reading!

A Modern Twist // Outfit Post

Hey loves! Today I am posting one of my favorite "ootd" posts yet! This outfit was just so fun to wear, as well as goof-off and twirl around in! Not too long ago I was contacted by eShakti to do a possible review of one of their items...seeing that many bloggers before me had worked with the online woman's clothing company, I kind of couldn't say no, and I am so glad I didn't! I am taking it upon myself to let you all know a little bit about eShakti, because I am honestly very happy not only with the product itself, but the company as a whole. On their website, you can see that they will customize items according to your height, size and style, which is awesome for those of us that are picky with things like that, or just have a hard time finding clothing to fit perfectly. Their motto is, "eShakti believes that all women have the right to wear affordable fashion that is made for them and makes them look their absolute best". So true! I don't think customization and good style should be unaffordable or out of someones price range, which is why I am so happy to write a review post. I chose a midi skirt from a link of many options that they gave me to choose from...I couldn't resist this skirt because I knew I could take a modern approach to styling the 50's inspired skirt!

The fit of the skirt really is great. I was kind of worried that it would be too big around my waist, because of often have issues with skirts that lay higher on the hip or waist fitting me correctly. The actual quality of the skirt seems to be VERY nice, and I mean that. I am glad I picked this style of skirt because I think it is a very classic style that I will be able to wear for years, and with the quality of the material, I don't think I will have to worry about it being worn out too soon!

I received the skirt not too long after I ordered it, so I would say I am pretty happy about how fast they are at shipping out products. It's worth taking a look at the many different styles of clothing eShakti has on their website; I was torn between this skirt and a gorgeous blue dress, but ultimately, I couldn't give up the idea of a modern twist on a 50's look!

Born to be Plaid [Transitioning to Summer Outfit]

Hello lovelies! This week has been so busy! I am in between my co-op job orientations, so for the past few days I have been in my hometown, working at my old job. Today is my last day there for now, and I will be heading back to Cincinnati tonight or early tomorrow...SO much driving! The free time I have had has been dedicated to hanging out with the fam and preparing blog stuff. That means I am kind of proud of myself, haha. I told ya'll I would try to be a better blogger once classes were over with! For now, I wanted to share a very casual but fun outfit for transitioning from Spring to Summer. We all know how crazy the weather has been, but it seems to be staying pretty warm now....but windy. Holy crap. I would be just fine without the plaid shirt in this post if it weren't for the wind! (See what I mean in the picture below-wahhh!)

Outfit Details: Plaid shirt: c/o Haute Juncture // Love Potion Tank: Charlotte Russe (old) // Shorts: American Eagle // Shoes: Keds // Chain Bracelet: Forever 21  (old) // Pink Bracelet: Loft (very similar) // Necklace: So old, I can't remember! // Purse: Possibly older than the necklace...no idea where it came from!

How will you transition from Spring to Summer fashion?

Exciting News and Chambray Casual Outfit

Exciting news! Yesterday marks the day I officially ended my junior year of college and became a senior! I don't know how time has flown by so quickly-it seems like just yesterday I was moving into a dorm, and then my own apartment, and starting clinical rotations at local hospitals. It is so exciting that I am that much closer to getting my Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing and starting a career I will love! With the semester coming to an end, I have obviously been so absent from this blog, but I am hoping that will change! I have been relying on infrequent outfit posts because they are just so easy to do, but I do have makeup reviews coming your way! Speaking of reviews, what type of reviews do you like? Skincare, hair products, makeup? I would love input! Also, what would you like to see more of on this blog? I'm so interested to know! Before I show my most recent outfit pictures, I want to give a belated birthday shout out to my favorites, my friend Amanda! She turned 21 on Monday! That is such an exciting time! We went for a few margaritas with some other friends, and she continued the night without me as I needed to study for a final...wah wah. Today we are going to go out to dinner with her mom for her birthday and I can't wait! Since exams are over and I am done with classes for the semester, I think that calls for a little extra celebration...I am sure I will be meeting up with friends for some drinks this week! Overall, this week should be pretty awesome!

I know I know...My style is so casual! I like to be comfortable! When you only have classes to go to, exams to study for, and clinical to show up to, there really isn't cause for getting really dressy! I feel like the only thing this look is missing is a cute baseball hat, haha.

Leopard Lovin'

Sometime between last weeks post and this weeks post I am pretty sure I must have done a semester worth of homework and studying. These next few weeks my schedule is going to be nothing less than obnoxious and stressful for me-which means it must be nearing the end of the semester (slow clap, yessssss!)If I am lucky I will check off the makeup review on my to-do list for this weekend. No promises though, but hey, that's school working against me! I recently bought a new pair of shoes that I kind of adore, but I wasn't sure how I would wear them/how much I would wear them! Now I am thinking I will definitely be getting a good amount of use out of them this Spring! Plus, they were a good price, and the quality is nice. Can't beat a good shoe deal! :)

Outfit details// Top: Banana Republic // Pants: Kohls, old (similar) // Necklace: Ann Taylor, old // Bangles: Forever 21, old // Shoes: Forever 21, already sold out (similar)//

Who else is ready for Spring to be here for good? No more pop-up snow storms!

Cognac Love

Notice anything different around here?! Today I decided that I was tired of looking at the same template and layout that I have had on this blog for a year or more...it had ta goooo! I am so happy with the new design I have! It was premade from Mlekoshi Playground (no way I can design a whole new template right now...maybe in a few more months of playing around with HTML and stuff!) so it was fairly easy to use. I just need to personalize a few more things and tune it up, but for now, I love it! What do you think? Anyways, I am sharing one of my favorite combos as of late-cognac and navy. Those two colors together make my fashion heart just go to mush. Okay maybe not mush, but you get it!

Outfit details:
Top: Madewell // Jeans: BDG // Cognac Boots: Madden Girl // Earrings: World Market// Necklace: Forever 21 (old)

Are you loving any color combos or trends right now?

Just a Minor Obsession [Military Jacket OOTD]

I was feeling like this blog was missing an outfit post...so I present you yet another outfit post that shows a few items I am completely obsessed with:

1) Booties

Granted, if you follow this blog, you've seen the booties already. I have every intention of completely wearing them out! As for the jacket, my cousin let me borrow it for this post...but it convinced me I need inspired me to buy one for myself ASAP. It seems like this fall and winter season I have been obsessed with jackets and boots...I should probably stop buying both (but we all know how that goes!)

This one is so bright! Oops :/

Outfit Details: Jacket: Gap (old-similar) // Top: c/o Dresslily // Necklace: New York & Company (old-similar)// Jeans: AE High Rise // Booties: Target (similar) //Midi Rings: Forever 21

What clothing item is on repeat for you right now?
