Comfy Cross Patch Sweater [Outfit] and "The Sweater Weather" Tag

Since it is absolutely freezing right now, I figure I might as well embrace the cold weather and accept the fact that it is only going to get colder from here...which means SWEATER WEATHER! What is better than an oversize, soft, warm sweater when you're freezing your butt off? Nada. So here I am embracing the cold and switching it up around here-with a tag post! This is actually a pretty popular youtube tag, but for now, I will just stick to the blog posts!

The Sweater Weather Tag
1. Favorite candle scent? First question and this is already hard! I love B&BW's "Spiced Apple Toddy". Mmmm.

2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate? I am going to have to cheat here and say mixing hot chocolate with coffee. One of the best things ever!

3. What's the best fall memory you have? Honestly probably freshman year of high school, going to every single football game. I never missed one. So long ago...but I love thinking back to that time!

4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner? Dark lips are fun to switch it up and be a little unexpected...but winged eyeliner is a lot more wearable day to day...so I think I prefer winged eyeliner!

5. Best fragrance for fall? Hands down Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb... it smells so good!

6. Favorite Thanksgiving food? Pie. That counts, right? Pumpkin, apple, and cheesecake. Need me on Thanksgiving? Seriously, just look at the dessert table! Oh, and homemade mashed potatoes. Love!

7. What is autumn weather like where you live? The temperature is pretty brisk...the leaves on the trees are gorgeous with different colors and this year we were lucky to not have too much rainy weather!
A picture of my campus last fall :)

8. Most worn sweater? I don't have a most worn sweater yet! I am guessing it will just be soft, cozy sweaters in general!

9. Must-have nail polish this fall? Essie "Wicked". Perfect for fall!

10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles? Football games all the way!

11. Skinny jeans or leggings? Skinny jeans for warmth...but leggings are so comfortable! They are the best to wear with oversize sweaters!

12. Combat boots or Uggs? Combat boots! Currently loving my new ones!

13. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype? Yessss...Not just Starbucks either! So many places are coming out with different takes on it, and I pretty much like them all!

14. Favorite fall TV show? American Horror Story...I haven't been keeping up with it as much this season though...I will have to have a mini-marathon this weekend!

15. What song really gets you into the fall spirit? I can't think of one in particular...but since Christmas music has been everywhere for the past month... I guess that gets me in the fall and winter spirit!

Sweater: Charlotte Russe // Scarf: Old, similar here, here and here // Leggings: American Apparel

Boots: Charlotte Russe // Earrings: Charming Charlies (similar)

What is your favorite fall/winter piece of clothing? If you do this tag, leave your link below so I can read your answers too!

Thanks for reading!

1. What is your favorite outfit pin?

Seriously love this so much. I have yet to create it though!

2. What is your favorite food pin?

Honestly so simple, yet I still haven't made it! This is happening during Summer!

3. What is your favorite wedding pin?
Please tell me you love this too! So beautiful!

         4. What is your favorite DIY/Craft pin?

This is the only thing that is sort of DIY one my pins! What is wrong with me? haha. Must pin more!

-Okay. So my HTML, font, and anything else right now on Blogger is going crazy, and I can't fix it! So I am sorry for how things may be orienting themselves! Anyways, the last two questions ask for your favorite lyric/quote pin, and just a random pin you want to show some love!

So true! Now for a random pin to show it some loveeee:

Cute...and really, think about it! haha.

Hopefully this post isn't too all over the place; I would try to fix everything so it font and orientation isn't so wacky, but I have some studying for my good 'ol nursing major to do! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Don't forget to follow with Bloglovin' if you like to follow along with me on my space on the interwebz :)

My latest beauty post!

Sunday Social!

This is the 40th week for Sunday Social! I would say that it has been quite a successful link-up; and definitely one of my favorite to link up and do! If you have not, link up as well :)

1. What is one movie you are terrified to watch?
Right now, I really can't think of one in particular...but any time there is a commercial for a new scary movie out, about exorcisms or demons, I look away. That stuff is creepy! Buuuuuut if someone watched it with me, I would probably be fine with watching it!

2. What is one TV show you have always wanted to get into but haven't yet?
The Walking Dead..I actually started to watch it, and just never kept up with it! Also, Downton Abbey; it seems like anyone and everyone in the blog world loves it, so maybe I should hop on the bad wagon!

3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?
Skydive! That would be really awesome...or bungee jumping. To me, bungee jumping seems more daring-at least when you jump from a plain, you are less likely to hit the building you are jumping off of like in bungee jumping! Terrible logic? Probably,

4. Would you ever travel alone?
If I really had to, yes. When I was 14 or 15 I flew to Florida and then back home alone. It wasn't too bad, but I would rather travel with someone else!

5. What activities do you like to do alone?
I like to do anything on my computer alone-computers are too distracting to be around others when you're on them, so I like to blog, read blogs, watch youtube videos, and study alone. Sometimes, I like to shop alone, but it depends on if I need opinions haha. Driving, if you want to call that an activity, I sometimes like to do alone, usually if it's long distances, I would rather be alone!

Be sure to link up!

Minted-A New Favorite: Outfit Post!

Hey beauties! I am back once more with another outfit post-is this getting annoying?! Or do you like seeing outfits?I love linking up with Style Elixir for the Style Sessions-so here we go again! First, I want to tell you a little about this outfit, rather, the shirt! I received it, and the plaid shirt in this post, from Haute Juncture. I am more than happy with the quality, customer service and SPEED in which I got these items! Not to mention, they are pretty adorable. I got to know a little more about Haute Juncture thanks to the sweet Jenny, and I thought it was interesting so I wanted to share!
"The company was started about 3 years ago.  Jane, (my sister) had been working in the LA fashion district where getting a start is very difficult.  Long story short, Jane began building friendships with local unknown designers in Los Angeles who began sharing their sample pieces with Jane.  Starting Haute Juncture was a way to share the great talents of our local designers! We actually began selling sample pieces in the living room of our apartment!  :) We support smaller designers and advocate for fair treatment of garment workers in LA.  It's only been 3 years, but we have been growing ever since." -Jenny
What's not to love about their products? I genuinely recommend shopping from their boutique! You won't regret it :) Now on to what I wore this past weekend when visiting family!

Top: c/o Haute Juncture // Leggings: Forever 21 // Boots: (My moms-thanks mom!) Lower East Side (Payless) (similar) // Mint tank top: Forever 21

I plan on having many more outfit posts, so I hope you all stick around!

In"vested" in Plaid; What I Wore!

Hey there! Remember when I said I had some posts coming? Well they are just sitting, waited to be posted...but that's okay, right? Until then, see what I wore to class today! It's kiiiiiind of cold, which means inside pictures for me today! Not to mention, I had no one to take them for me, so it was a one-woman job! I hope it turned out okay!

Vest: Maurices (similar) // Shirt: c/o Haute Juncture // Jeans: Blues Society // Boots: Madden Girl "Umpiree"

It's been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will.
L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

Hopefully these pictures will do! I just wish you could have saw the outfit in person; I thought it was pretty cute for casual wear-and let's face it, posing alone and having your camera set on a timer isn't easy! So go easy on me if you think my poses are awkward or something, hah!
So about class today...
Can you see the joy in my eyes? No? That would be because it was 3 hours long...which I totally get! It's a part of college! Buuuuuuut that still doesn't make me want to be in there for that long! I can honestly say that my 3 hour class on Tuesdays feels like it lasts longer than my 6 hour class (with a 30 minute break!) on Fridays. No joke. You win some, you lose some. On a happy note though, Pretty Little Liars was just on! Any one else out there PLL fans? Let me know :)

Mint Peplum & Sunshine

Hey! I am back with another outfit post! My last post featured some snow, which has since melted away...but it is still FREEZING! The day I took these it was almost 50 degrees, but it's back down to the 20's. Ohio weather, why must you fluctuate so much? Besides the weather, I was really excited about this outfit! Really simple, but I love the peplum trend! This is actually the only peplum item I own, because I wanted to see how it would look on me before I went peplum crazy...and I think I like it! Now how many times can I say "peplum" in one paragraph? Moving on...
I love the mint color-it is so fresh, and clean feeling? Do you kind of understand what I mean? It's okay if you don't! Plus, I love the pastel color-I get that it's winter...but you don't have to wear dark colors, or greys, or follow the "bright colors are only for summer/pastels are strictly for spring". I am sure I am not the only one that ditches those "rules". This is Beauty without Limits...including fashion limits. Sorry fashion patrol :) Now on to the outfit!
Jeans: Urban Outfitters BDG Cigarette Mid-Rise Jean / Boots: Macy's (Baretraps) / Top: JcPenney (similar) / Belt: Forever 21 (similar)
I might like smiling. Maybe. Just maybe.

Can you believe the ground was covered in snow not too long ago? Not complaining though, the scenery looks gorgeous!

Do you like the peplum trend? What are your thoughts on "fashion rules" for seasons?
Let me know! Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Social-In 3's!

1. Top 3 favorite kinds of food

My favorites are pasta, chocolate, and [fruits & vegetables]. Did you like how I grouped those as one? haha Sneaky sneaky:)

2. First 3 things you do in the morning
I usually set a few alarms on my phone the night before, between 3 and 5; it depends how early my classes are that day! So I usually go through the first two, get up by the third, and then turn off the rest. Next I would get up and make some coffee, and third I will read up on some blogs, and watch a youtube video or two!

3. Last 3 things you do at night
Take out my contacts/ put on my glasses, wash my face, and say a prayer!

4. 3 TV shows you NEVER miss
Sometimes I get too busy studying, so I do miss shows sometimes-hard to answer! I always make sure to stay up to date on the American Horror Story episodes, Cat Fish, and maybe Teen Mom?

5. 3 places you want to visit
Germany, Paris, and California!

6. 3 people you can always count on
My step mom, my grandparents (counting them as one again, haha), and my brother Caleb!

Sunday Social!

1. What is the name of your blog? How long have you been blogging?
My blog name is "Beauty without Limits", and there is a bittttt of an explanation behind the name. I actually plan on adding a page to my blog just for explaining my blog name! I started blogging in March of 2012, so I would say I am definitely still new at this, but I love each and every day of it! More importantly, I love reading other blogs. Seriously unreal how waking up and catching up on blogs has become such a big part of my day!
2. Why do you blog?
I started a blog because I was inspired by someone! I remember staying up VERY late one night reading a "blog" that I had somehow come across ( I don't even remember how!) and I was just fascinated by the blogging community (that I could see) and that you could really write about anything. So, I read basically every post this person had written, and decided I would start my own blog. I like to tell others about things I love, or enjoy, such as beauty products, but I also love showing outfits-it is almost like a photo diary to remember a cute outfit, so that I can go back to it and put the same outfit back together! Am I making any sense? Haha. I love just being able to write freely, and somehow, I manage to get some amazing followers that will actually read the weird/boring/random thoughts that pop into my head!
3. What is the first blog you ever followed?
Remember how someone inspired me? Well, I had to follow her blog as soon as I started mine! Who is this lady you ask? It is Monica! From Monica's Notebook! I seriously like died when she followed my blog. That is a big accomplishment for me, haha.
4. What is your favorite post you wrote in 2012?
I am not sure I have a favorite. I would almost say anything beauty related. Surprised? Let me explain-this blog started out as a beauty blog, but once I got started I realized I was NOT happy with my camera. Sure, the pictures turned out fine, quality wise, but the color is always just so...off. That isn't good when you are trying to show almost exact colors and review products! This means that my beauty posts have been limited until I get a better camera, or figure out what camera settings will work for beauty posts! Top faves: DIY Oil Blotting Sheets, Go-To Products for Oily Skin, and Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation Review.

5. What are your blogging goals for 2013?
I definitely want to post more. Being in nursing school and trying to post regularly is pretty hard for me though-I feel so overwhelmed sometimes! I am not going to make myself have a set schedule, but I do want to try to post more...plus, posting usually makes me feel less stressed, because I am focusing on something I want to do, versus all that nursing studying! I also would like to see my blog grow more-it doesn't have to be a major growth, but I love seeing new people commenting! It is so exciting, and when the follower has a blog their self, it allows me to have a new blog to read up on too!
6. Name your top 3 favorite blogs.
Katie Did What, Monica's Notebook, and The Sweetest Thing. I love all 3 of those blogs, you should check them out, you wont regret it!

That is it for this Sunday Social, I hope you enjoyed!

Sunday Social-Thankful!

I am thankful for all of my family members! (I am very close with extended family too, so this would be no short list!)
My sister Ciara somehow got left out of this?! But she counts too! <3

I am thankful for my real, true, amazing friends. [Imagine a hundred different pictures right here of everyone that is important to me!  : )  ]
via

I am thankful that I had the option and opportunity to go to college, and pursue being a nurse.

I am thankful for all of my favorite foods (and the fact that I have access to them if I want them; some people don’t have options to a mean, let alone their favorite).

I am thankful for the life I have. Not extravagant. Not above average. Just normal, making it by life-I am okay with that. Roof over my head, food available, and security knowing I have a place to live. For now as a college student, it is important to remember those who don’t have what they need, instead of what you always want!

I am thankful that I have met a few people by having a blog, and some of them seem to care!

I am thankful for being given life! Thank you to my mom and dad for bringing me into this world! I almost wanted to do a separate post about that on my birthday when I did a post, to thank them, but I will just say it here! It is crazy that those two people together made me, and I am here. That is a lot to think about! Haha.

I am thankful for my sister finding someone special. Someone our whole family seems to like. Who treats her right, makes her happy, accepts her for who she is, and is great with kids. Congratulations on their recent engagement!

I know I can list so many more things that I am thankful, but this is a good summary of the most important! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

What I am Currently Loving!

Hello Lovelies! I hope everyone is doing well! I currently have something going on in my throat-probably strep, or something along those lines. I am no stranger to strep, I get it about 6 times a year (not kidding!) I should be used to it, but it's my birthday today, so for now, I am NOT okay with it! Anyways, I wanted to get a post up about the things I am just loving right now!

1. SCARVES! Of any sort really. Long, short, frilly, plain, patterned, puffy, cozy. You name it, I will probably like it. Outfit is boring? No problem, add a scarf, bada-bing you are a whole new lady!

This lovely scarf may or may not be in an upcoming outfit post ft. that ^^ outfit :)

2. Wearing my boots: Who doesn't love boots? There are so many styles these days, I feel like almost anyone could find a pair they like! I am no boot snob, if you give me boots, more than likely, I will be like, "Okay, now let me find the rest of my outfit!" But, I really love my new boots I received from my stepmother:
These are "Bearpaw" brand, in the style "Miriam mid-calf". So warm and comfy!

I have a nice pair of knee high brown leather boots, but they have a bit of a high heel on them, so I have been on the lookout for more wearable ones. This is where my next "love" enters!

3. Online shoe stores : Oh my gosh. Want. Need. NOW! I feel like looking online gives you so many more options. Is it just me? Or does anyone else feel like online stores give you about 50 more options than if you went to a store? Regardless, those are so gorgeous boots, and I would adore them with my little heart! Check out these amazing things, another pair on the boot wishlist:

In. Love.

4. Thanksgiving is coming up! Who is with me on this one? Family. Being thankful. Food. foOD. FOOD! Okay- it's clear I like the food aspect. But can you blame me?
Please tell me you are drooling too.

5. Layering clothing: This is nothing new. It happens in the Fall, I am sure it probably happens in Spring and Summer too. But something about putting different pieces together just makes me happy to get dressed in the morning!
 via

6. Maybelline Berry Bliss Lipstick: So pretty! I will be wearing it tonight when I go for my birthday dinner! It seems really moisturizing compared to other Maybelline lipsticks I have; fluke? Or are all the new ones more moisturizing?!

7. Talking to my bloggy friends! It is nice to meet new "friends" outside of my college and back at my home town. I like connecting with twitter, instagram, and emails; it's great to have others out there you can related to, and you feel like you get to know a lot of each others life as you read blog posts. I love the blogging community!

Well it is about time for me to go out to dinner, but I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Sunday Social; Week 20!

1. What do you value most in life?
My family, my beliefs and morals, my friends, anddd a good education!

2. What do you think is the greatest invention in your lifetime and why?
I would have to be really general here, sorry. I would say all the ever-changing medical equipment. I will be a nurse, and that equipment that is always evolving, or being invented, could help save someones life!

3. What do you think is the secret to a good life?
Believing in yourself, in others, and something more than this life. Being caring, thoughtful, and lending a hand to someone who is down. Love like there is no tomorrow. I believe in karma; so do something nice or generous not because you NEED to, but because you want to.
4. What would you most like to be remembered for when you're gone?
I would like to be remembered as the person who never gave up, and cared so much about others; I would definitely like to be remembered for my big heart.
5. What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
Well I am currently in college to become a nurse, so I can't say graduating college just yet, but, I am proud of course to have graduated high school a few years ago with a great GPA, and I am proud that I actually got into my colleges Nursing program, because it is very, very competitive!

6. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
Hmm...Well many many people have told me I look like  Alyson Hannigan. Sometimes I actually agree. Maybe not so much in pictures, because that's a second your face is frozen in time, but in day to day life, I definitely have some of the same mannerisms and facial quirks that she has. So, not only would she sort of look like me, but I think she has some quirks, and humor like me!

Link up everyone : )

Sunday Social!

1. What do you miss most about being a kid?
Hmm...not having so much "stuff" to worry about; also, not really having to study! (Since I am currently still in college).

2. Did you have a nickname growing up? What was it?
Kelser-nay-nay, Eachabooga, Kelser-meister, Kels, Nay-nay, Boogerbutt? (I asked my mom on this one, apparently my grandpa called me that?)...I am sure there is more but I can't remember!

3. What was your favorite thing to do at recess?
In elementary, I just remember walking around the playground with a group of girls, talking. We all liked to swing on the swings a lot, or sit at the picnic tables!
via.

4. What did you want to be when you grew up?
Doctor, nurse, cop, CHEF, model... about 500 other things, haha.

5. What was your favorite toy?
Barbies, Bratz dolls, and things to play "school" or "doctor". My older sister and I liked to act things out like that!

6. What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you about?
You don't. want. to. know. I think it crosses the line as being too funny, and too gross haha. So you may ask the second funniest? My mom says that one time I was very sleepy, and eating, and my head fell straight down into my food. Orrr...it wasn't funny at the time, but "it is now"-she said every time I didn't get my way, I would beat my head against the floor or table.
Not me, haha. Too cute though.
via.

How was everyone's weekend? I hope to get another post up tonight, if I can get back to my apartment at a decent time (I drove home for the weekend!).
